My name is Ray Kowalski. I am the President of Arbor Lakes homeowners association. I bought my home in 2009, but did not live here in Arbor Lakes until 2021 when I retired from my 35-year career as a UPS driver.
I'm originally from northern Wisconsin. Both myself and my fiance Della enjoy the year round warmer temperatures. We appreciate living in a community setting. We enjoy being able to see and do activities with our neighbors. Many days it's almost like being on vacation!
Della and I have many hobbies from swimming, kayaking, biking and most important pickleball. These are our main activities, but we also always look forward to discovering Florida with two or three day Adventures. We like working around the house, making our house a home with outside yard work and small projects inside.
My vision for Arbor Lakes and my position is President is being able to participate on a board that engages with our community with transparency, while also realizing a fiduciary responsibility.

My wife, Pam, and I moved to Arbor Lakes 10 years ago and enjoy living here very much.
I am the youngest of six children, all born in the 1950s. I have two daughters, a stepson and a stepdaughter, and five grandchildren. I grew up in western Massachusetts, where I raised my children.
I graduated from Westfield State College with a BS in Business with a major in finance and a minor in accounting.

Suzy has lived in Arbor Lakes for nine years with her husband, Pat. They are originally from Connecticut. They have one dog, Buster, four children, five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, all of whom live in other states. In Connecticut, they owned a restaurant for many years where Pat was the chef. Suzy's career was in elderly health care. She holds a BS in Psychology and is two courses short of an MA. Suzy is a published author (seven books) and is an artist preferring to work in oils. She is the Secretary for the ALPOA Board of Directors and her duties encompass taking minutes for board meetings, overseeing welcome packet revisions and deliveries and oversight of the Governing Documents Lending Library.
Suzy previously served on the BOD as Clubhouse Director for over six years. "I love this community and it is my honor to serve in any way I can. There are so many wonderful residents in this unique place. Volunteering is a wonderful way to meet people and feel the rewards and satisfaction of service."

I'm from WI, where I had a successful career with We-Energies, the primary electrical utility company in the Midwest. I was a control operator, overseeing all the functions of the operating systems within the facility.
I’m married to Karrie Groff and have three children. Florida has been home since 2023. I’ve been called by family and friends a “Jack of all Trades and Master of None” and the modern-day MacGyver from the 1980s action series, MacGyver. Troubleshooting challenges is definitely something I love to do – always thinking outside the box.
My goal as Grounds Commander is to serve our AL community by repairing/replacing items that help keep our neighborhood beautiful and operating efficiently.

Linda has lived in Arbor Lakes for 13 years. She moved from Massapequa Park NY in August 2011, following her parents to Arbor Lakes. She spent 40+ years in the Insurance Industry before finally retiring in December 2021. Linda has a son in Montana and a daughter in upstate New York. Two granddaughters-- 1 each in New York and Montana. Her hobbies include reading and Yoga.
Linda decided to give back to our community and joined the Board of Directors in January 2022. Trying to keep the Clubhouse operating smoothly with all the activities that go on under its roof. It takes many people to keep this community running. Everyone can contribute in whatever capacity they may be able to - to keep this community as great as it is.

Stephanie moved to Arbor Lakes in December 2021. She was born and raised in Saint Petersburg Florida so yes she's a Florida Cracker. Stephanie has been married three times, divorced once, and widowed twice. She has three children, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her hobbies include; spending time at the pool, painting and doing puzzles.
Her goal as a Recreation Chairperson is do the best job I can possibly do for our community and also help maintain and make it as beautiful and enjoyable as can be.

My intention as ARC Director is to assist all fellow Arbor Lakes residents with any concerns that they may have in a prompt and courteous manner.
